Backyard Campout, Brownie Style

Our friends for quite some time, Ann and Scott Malm graciously allowed my Brownie troop to take over their horse pasture for a backyard Mommy and Me campout (even though they don’t have a gal in our troop). What a phenomenal time we had! 9 tents and 31 people later, we began our adventure with centers of tie dying pillow cases, making and adopting pom pom pets, and making rockets to set off the following day. We roasted hotdogs, cooked S’mores, sang songs by the campfire, and chatted all night long. We woke as early risers (cold…can you believe it) to the sounds of roosters, most of us by 5:30 AM and made breakfast outdoors, set off our rockets, did “camp kapers”, a traditional flag ceremony, then concluded with our friendship circle before we parted ways. My biggest complaint from moms and girls…”Why was it only for one night!”

Here are some photos of our memorable time, kicking off Mother’s Day week in style. I love my troop of girls and their families!
