Yippee! They Have Arrived!

Working for 8 weeks allowed us to afford new beds for the boys, a long and overdue ‘necessity’ in our home that kept getting pushed aside for one reason or another. Nathan at age 5 ½ was still in his fire truck toddler bed scrunched in a ball and Owen at (almost) 3 ½ in his crib (with one “wall” removed).

My heart had been set on the 70’s style L-shaped twin beds like my grandparents had for us grandkids to sleep on for weekend slumber parties since buying this home but finding it was another issue that took a year! Well, today it arrived. It was like Christmas for us all. We couldn’t wait for it to get set up then ‘used’. Boy the boys were patient.
(We have some decorating/accessories to pull out still)

The boys are asleep in bed now. If history repeats itself in our family for the third time, Owen will not stay in bed sleeping. Both Baylee and Nathan got overwhelmed with the size of their bed at first and ended up on the floor then couch with daddy. I have a sneaky suspicion though, that Owen will be “just fine”. So far, Nathan is totally spread out with his arms behind his head and legs going in opposite directions on each side of the bed. Owen, just looks so peaceful and happily asleep.

I have a smile on my face from this blessing!

The boys look so excited. I love the beds. We have been on the hunt for specific bunk beds for the girls.
