Testing is a Piece of Cake!

Its Baylee’s first time at standardized testing and the poor girl really had a very anxious spirit. It had a lot to do with the hype the teachers were making of it, stressing the importance of doing your best, not realizing how “some people” (Baylee) internalize things. Poor girl! With lots of prayer, scripture meditation, mega love, and reassurance we sent her off to school for two days telling her, “Baylee, testing is a piece of cake!” And indeed, even after the first day she too boasted that it was! So each night she got to request a different cake to eat and enjoy.
Day one: carrot cake with cream cheese frosting (of course)
Day two: lemon bars

Baylee’s teacher is Amazing with a capital A! She made the mood in the classroom so peaceful. The kids got to chew gum to help their brain, wear slippers to relax, and enjoy some brainfood they made together. They even brainstormed what a good tester looks like and posted it on the front wall to refer to.

Baylee’s really looking forward to AIMS testing next year that covers many many many more days, which means, many many many cakes! She’s a girl after my own heart!
