We began our Fourth of July celebrations with the annual Springerville parade, in its very own “hometown” style. The kids loved watching the floats and animals pass by, however the candy throwing from the floats was a definite attraction to them all.
Afterwards we headed back to the cabin to play then to Lyman lake just south of St. John's for a cookout. The firework display was beautiful and it was neat that my dad and Pat joined us this year for it. My dad admitted that he hadn’t seen a firework display in 20 years!
